Cultural Trek
Trek route
follows the Chamkharchu river. you enter to the "Swan Land" (Ngang
Yul) with its inner "Swan temple" (Nganglhakhang). This part of the
valley was at first inhabited only by swans who gave their name (Ngang)
to the place. Climbs gradually to Phephela pass (Alt.3353m/11000ft),
the highest point on the trek route. The trial until the pass leads
through one of the most beautiful forested areas of this region.
Allowing for many stops to enjoy nature’s beauties. The gradually
descending trial follows the Tang-chu another trout filled river.
Along the banks of this river is Tang Rimpoche Lhakhang. Drive to
Jaker. (Alt. 9000ft). Enroute to Jaker visit Mebar Tsho “The Burning
Lake".
